Leading with your Emotions

Jesus was the most compassionate man that ever lived on the planet and he was often moved with emotion as he went from place to place. one day when Jesus saw a crowd, he was so full of emotion that he said that what the world needs are people that are compassionate workers that will shepherd lost people.

Matthew 9.36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly [is] plentiful, but the laborers [are] few.

Jesus cried

John 11:35 Jesus wept.

LET ME ASK YOU?

When was the last time you got so passionate about the service you do for God, that you cried? Having a soft heart and being moved by tears for what you do is a sign of a great leader.

Jesus got angry

John 2:13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the moneychangers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and overturned the tables.

16 And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!" 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up."

What makes you angry?

What eats you up?

These things are your passion!

What injustices are you passionate about?

These are the things that can drive you and can be KEYS TO YOUR DESTINY IN GOD.

MY PASSION

Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them and said, Allow the little children to come to Me, and forbid them not. For of such is the kingdom of God.

It upsets me sometimes when people undervalue a child’s value, place in society, ability, potential and place in the kingdom of God. That is what eats me up. That’s my passion. Is it yours?

Leading with your emotions, doesn’t mean that we follow our emotions and if something feels right we do it. It means that we have a soft heart and learn to feel with God’s heart as a leader.
